As directed by Girl Scouts of the USA, Girl Scouts of Tejas Girl Scout Council will grant to registered members of Tejas Council a non-exclusive license to use in printed materials (not to be used on resale items) or as part of your web site the two design variations of the GIRL SCOUT Service Mark (symbol and logotype) provided herein. The GIRL SCOUT Service Mark and the names "Girl Scouts" and "Girl Scouts of the USA" are registered trademarks. The Service Mark herein is being made available for use by Girl Scouts of Tejas Council service units and troops. Acceptance of this Agreement is subject to the following terms:

This Agreement is applicable to U.S.-based Web sites only. Any use of the GIRL SCOUT Service Mark outside the United States is strictly prohibited. The GIRL SCOUT Service Mark or the name "Girl Scouts" or "Girl Scouts of the USA" may not be used for any commercial purpose without prior written approval by the GSUSA Trademark and Licensing Unit.

To use the GIRL SCOUT Service Mark provided herein, you must accept and agree to all the terms of this Agreement and must read and follow the Guidelines for Use of Girl Scouts of the USA's Service Mark. To indicate your acceptance and agreement, you will be asked to click the "I accept" button at the end of this Agreement.

1. You may not use the GIRL SCOUT Service Mark or the name "Girl Scouts" or "Girl Scouts of the USA" in any manner that may possibly disparage, bring into disrepute, or derogate Girl Scouts of the USA, its members, or councils in connection with any products or services that, in Girl Scouts of the USA's sole and absolute discretion, may possibly diminish or damage the goodwill of the Girl Scout name or including without limitation uses that could be deemed to be obscene, pornographic, sexual, or violent, or to encourage unlawful activities.

2. You may not alter the appearance of the GIRL SCOUT Service Mark. The GIRL SCOUT Service Mark must stand by itself so as to avoid unintended associations with any other objects, including, without limitation, type, photographs, illustrations, borders, and edges. The width of the blank space surrounding the Service Mark must be equal to 1/3 of the size of the symbol that is displayed (e.g., if the symbol is 30 pixels across, it must have 10 pixels of blank space above, below, and on each side). You may not use the Service Mark as a feature or design element or incorporate it into any other service mark/logo. You may never use the symbol without the logotype "Girl Scouts." Guidelines for Use of Girl Scouts of the USA's Service Mark must be followed.

3. You may not use any GIRL SCOUT Service Mark other than the two versions of the GIRL SCOUT Service Mark provided herein without the express permission of Girl Scouts of the USA. Direct all requests for such uses to trademarks@girlscouts.org.

4. You may not use the GIRL SCOUT Service Mark or the name "Girl Scouts" or "Girl Scouts of the USA" in any manner that implies sponsorship or endorsement of your Web site.

5. You must include the following statement on any Web page created that includes the GIRL SCOUT Service Mark: " 'Girl Scouts' and other GIRL SCOUT Trademarks are registered trademarks of Girl Scouts of the USA and are used herein pursuant to license." This agreement gives you no rights in, to, or under the Girl Scout Trademarks or any other intellectual property of Girl Scouts of the USA except as expressly provided herein.

6. You agree to indemnify Girl Scouts of the USA and any of its affiliates for any loss or damage (including legal fees) caused to them arising out of your use of any of the GIRL SCOUT Service Marks or the name "Girl Scouts" or "Girl Scouts of the USA."

Girl Scouts of the USA and Girl Scouts of Tejas Council reserve the right to review your use of the GIRL SCOUT Service Mark and the names "Girl Scouts" and "Girl Scouts of the USA", and you agree to provide Girl Scouts of the USA and Girl Scouts of Tejas Council with unrestricted access to your Web site to review your use of the GIRL SCOUT Service Mark and the names "Girl Scouts" and "Girl Scouts of the USA". Girl Scouts of the USA and/or Girl Scouts of Tejas Council may at any time, and at their sole discretion, require you to discontinue your use of the GIRL SCOUT Service Mark and the name "Girl Scouts" or "Girl Scouts of the USA".

Girl Scouts of the USA and/or Girl Scouts of Tejas Council reserve the right, in their sole and absolute discretion, to revoke and terminate this Agreement, in which case you will immediately thereafter cease any and all usage of the GIRL SCOUT names and Service Mark and shall not use any name or trademark similar in color to the foregoing.
