ADULTS
. . . there are many ways for adults to get involved in Girl Scouting!
Girl Scouts is looking
for volunteers who represent the diversity of our communities.
Men or women, senior citizens or young adults, married or single!
People of all racial and ethnic backgrounds — anyone who's willing
to make a difference in the lives of girls.
Alumni are
welcome to reconnect with Girl Scouts and give back to an organization
that made a difference in their lives.
Adult volunteers
may choose to work with a troop, conduct workshops for adults, share
a skill with a group of girls, join an adult volunteer team at the
council or community level . . . Adults may help short-term or ongoing
- an hour, a week, a month!
Working with a
troop is one way to get directly involved with girls!
Trained, caring adults are needed to help girls plan and carry out
activities. Leaders invest time to attend training and to prepare
for the safe, efficient management of a Girl Scout troop - other
adults are needed to assist in various ways so that the best possible
Girl Scout experience is provided.
Some of the ways you can offer to help a troop is to:
- Serve as a leader, or an assistant
leader
- Organize Cookie Sale information
- Manage troop’s Family Partnership Campaign
- Drive to events or field trips
- Help with special projects
- Assist with troop paperwork
