THIN TEMPORARY EXHIBIT

DESCRIPTION: The Women's Museum and Lauren Greenfield join together to present the exhibition of THIN. Lauren Greenfield, preeminent chronicler of youth culture in the photography world, offers a portrayal of profound insight and understanding to reveal the hidden nature of eating disorders. The exhibition weaves together large-scale portraits and documentary photographs; recorded voices, videos and narrative texts. To tell this story in authentic detail, Greenfield found her subjects at an eating disorder clinic in South Florida. There she filmed, photographed and interviewed women seeking to escape the iron grip of the twin conditions, anorexia and bulimia. HBO has produced a film documentary and Chronicle Books has published the book THIN.
